Anthony Riveron
Physician Assistant
Why did you choose to work in the medical field?
I’ve always been drawn to medicine and learning how the body works even at an early age. My aunt and uncle were a huge inspiration for me growing up. They’re nurses and as a kid I would always visit their house, look at the anatomy textbooks on their shelf and have them teach me things. Their stories and knowledge about healthcare really drove me towards pursuing it for myself. The medical field lets me continuously learn every day while also helping make a difference in people’s lives.
What’s your hidden talent?
I can fall asleep in any setting.

What’s your favorite place you have been to thus far? And where would you like to go next?
Favorite place has to be Japan! The culture, the food, and the people were all incredible. There are still so many places I haven’t seen though, the next spot I’d like to visit is Greece.
What’s your favorite dish and where can we get it?
Sushi is life. My favorite spot is a restaurant called Sushi Yama in Tampa and Orlando.
If you could have dinner with anyone who would that be and what would you ask them?
I’d have dinner with my late grandmother and talk about all the great memories we used to share. I’d also ask her about some of her old recipes. She’s still the best cook I’ve ever known after all these years.
What do you absolutely love to do in your free time and why?
I love basketball, grew up playing it and made a lot of my closest friends through the sport. It taught me a lot about healthy competition and teamwork. When I’m not playing basketball, I’m probably reading, gaming, or spending time with family and loved ones.
What’s your favorite quote that you live by?
“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”
Why do you like working at Bayside Urgent Care Center?
Bayside has such an amazing group of people working together, my team always makes every day worthwhile. The connections I get to form with them and my patients are what keep me going. It feels like a second family.
