At Bayside Urgent Care Center, our medical team is ready to handle injuries that are not life-threatening. Open 365 days a year, Bayside Urgent Care Center is conveniently located in Clearwater, Florida. And we are always welcoming new patients, and appointments are not necessary.
When Should You Go to an Emergency Room?
For life-threatening emergencies, you need to go to an emergency room. If you experience any of the following, call 911 or go to the ER:
- Chest pain
- Severe head injuries
- Heavy bleeding
- Large open wounds
- Warning signs of a stroke: sudden dizziness or change in vision, sudden weakness or numbness, trouble speaking or understanding speech
- Major burns
Bayside Urgent Care Center has Onsite Diagnostic Tools
Our urgent care center has some of the same equipment you will find in hospitals. If you have a broken bone, sprain, need blood work, or more, we have the tools on site for making the correct diagnosis:
- Lab testing and blood work
- EKGs
- X-rays
- Exercise stress test
If you need a CT or MRI scan, we will refer you to one of our preferred radiologists in the area.
What to Expect During Your Visit
During your appointment, you will be evaluated by a Bayside Urgent Care Center medical professional who will ask you about the symptoms you are experiencing. They will also perform a physical exam and check your vital signs. Depending upon the kind of illness you have, they may ask for testing like bloodwork, diagnostic imaging, or get throat or nose cultures.
Does Bayside Urgent Care Accept Insurance?
Yes. We accept several major insurance carriers, including Medicare. If you are underinsured, uninsured, or prefer to pay out-of-pocket, you can make payment before you leave, or we also offer flexible payment plans.
