Urgent Care X-Rays Diagnose Conditions
An x-ray takes a black and white picture of the inside of your body. These images can detect broken bones, tumors, and more. At Bayside Urgent Care Center, we use x-rays to help us identify and diagnose many conditions. If you suspect a fracture (broken bone) or other non-life-threatening health problem, our medical team is ready to help. We are located in Clearwater, Florida, and we’re always accepting new patients. No appointments are necessary.
When Are X-Rays Used?
X-rays are most commonly used to confirm if a bone has fractured. You may also receive an x-ray if we expect:
Keep in mind that not every type of injury will show up on x-rays. For example, torn tendons are better diagnosed with an MRI or ultrasound.

What Can You X-Ray?
We use x-rays to diagnose a wide range of injuries and complaints in the following areas:
What Happens During X-Rays?
If you are experiencing pain from an injury, getting into position for the procedure may be uncomfortable; however, the actual x-ray doesn’t hurt. If you have jewelry around the site to be x-rayed, we will ask you to remove it. Before taking the image, we will provide you with a lead apron to protect you from radiation. Then, we will help you position your body so we can get the most accurate image.
When Should I Go to an Emergency Room?
Emergency room visits should be used for life-threatening emergencies. If you have an open fracture or any of these other symptoms, please call 911 or go to the ER:

What To Bring When You Visit
Know your family medical history and be prepared to give this information to the doctor and medical staff. Help us treat you more effectively, by telling us about any medications you take. Also, tell us of vitamins and supplements that you use. Let us know about your past illnesses and surgeries. Finally, bring your primary care doctor’s phone number and address so we can transfer records, if necessary.
Does Bayside Urgent Care Accept Insurance?
Yes. We accept Medicare and most major insurance carriers. If you don’t have insurance or prefer to pay out-of-pocket, our services are reasonably priced. And, we are less expensive than an ER visit.
